Our new preprint on the functional dissociation of layers 2/3 and 5 in the primary visual cortex is now available on bioRxiv. Using large-scale two-photon imaging and Neuropixels recordings, we show that superficial and deep layers play distinct roles in integrating sensory and behavioural information.
